LAMBE LAMBE IN SHADOW THEATER

The workshop "Teatro Lambe-Lambe em Sombras" proposes an introduction to languages found in the universe of miniatures. It aims to present some possibilities and initiate some practices, so that participants are able to start researching the language, if they are interested.

An interactive workshop that takes us into the world of the hero of the Greek shadow theater folk tradition, Karagiosis! Who is Karagiosis? What he likes and what irritates him. Let's talk about this popular hero, his history and his habits! We will make our own Karagiosis figure and together we will create small scenes using the techniques of this traditional shadow theater.

KARAGOZ - THE TURKISH SHADOW THEATER

A chat where we will learn about the Karagoz theater of Turkey, a theatrical form that has existed for 650 years. The Turkish artist will show details, scenery, puppets and talk about the dramaturgy of one of the oldest theatrical forms in the world.

Workshop: SHADOWHUNTERS IN EDUCATION
By Prof. Dr. Fabiana Lazzari (UnB) and Irene Soneghetti (assistant/scholarship - UnB)
To encourage the discovery of shadow theater as an artistic language, revealing to participants a perspective on art and enhancing pedagogical approaches for teachers; Provide knowledge of
different types of projection surface (shape, size and materials), the study and experimentation of the different types of light sources that can be used to project silhouettes (candles, lanterns, lamps of different intensities), as well as the use of different materials (paper, fabric, various objects, parts of the body, etc.) to obtain shadows and
projection on screens; Provide basic notions about the history of Shadow Theater and exercise reflective/critical practice after the activities.
