Miniature theater is a language that works with small, often portable formats. In this workshop, we will explore the open format and lambe lambe—a theatrical format created by Brazilian artists Denise Di Santos and Ismine Lima. These are intimate performances for a small audience, or sometimes just one (as in Lambe Lambe), with the potential for synthesis and poetic imagery. The workshop will be taught by three companies researching Lambe Lambe theater: Cia Luzes e Lendas (Brazil), Umbra Sombras (Chile), and Circo Rústico (Argentina).
